Distinguished Guest Speaker — Beth H. Sutton, MD, FACS
General surgeon and seasoned leader, Beth H. Sutton, MD, FACS, has been elected as the 2024-2024 President-Elect of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Her term as ACS President will commence in October 2024. An ACS Fellow since 1984, Dr. Sutton has been actively engaged in multiple leadership roles within the College. A dedicated practitioner based in Wichita Falls, Texas, Dr. Sutton has had a longstanding passion for medicine, first kindled by a book about the human body she received as a young girl from her great-aunt.
Welcoming back the graduates of 2019, 2014, 2009, 2004, 1999, 1994, 1989, 1984, 1979, 1974, 1969.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the UT Health Science Center San Antonio and the J. Bradley Aust Surgical Society. The UT Health Science Center San Antonio is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hotel Emma, 136 E. Grayson St., San Antonio, TX 78215. The single/double occupancy guest room rate, subject to availability, is $345/night plus taxes and fees. The “cut-off date” for reserving rooms in the Room Block is Tuesday, May 9, 2024. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be based on availability at the hotel’s prevailing rates. Residents will present clinical and basic science research. Prizes will be awarded to the top three presenters in each category.

Golf Tournament – Tee Times Begin at 8:00 a.m. (meet at 7:30 a.m.)

The golf tournament will be held at La Cantera Golf Club -- tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. The format
will be a four-man scramble and the cost is $205 per person. Members are encouraged to sponsor a resident for this event.

Sporting Clays – 9:00 a.m.
National Shooting Complex, 5931 Roft Rd
The sporting clay event will be held at the National Shooting Complex at 5931 Roft Rd. beginning at 9:00am.
The National Shooting Complex will provide Certified Instructors, loaner guns (you may also bring your own), ammunition, eye
and ear protection, and beverages. Fifty sporting clays will be offered to each participant at a cost of $120. Members are
encouraged to sponsor a resident for this event. Guests are welcome. Please use the annual meeting registration form to
register for this event. Please plan to meet at the National Shooting Complex by 8:45am.
